Disha Vakani aka Dayaben has a real-life link with the city Ahmedabad. As shocking as it may sound, Vakani is also born and brought up in Ahmedabad before she shifted to Mumbai. Born on August 17, 1978, in Gujarat’s Ahmedabad, Disha Vakani belongs to a Gujarati Jain family and graduated in Dramatics from Gujarat College in the city.


Needless to say, with such a real-life connection with the city of Ahmedabad, no doubt Disha Vakani aka Dayaben’s face lights up on-screen while talking about the city. Meanwhile, as we miss Disha Vakani and her epic Garba style and lots more, the actress is yet to make a comeback on the show after she went ahead to start a family with husband Mayur Padia.
